Six Ways to Support Your Team through Times of Crises
Here are several ways to support your team through this season and in others!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> Set clear and graceful expectations and guidelines. Should your team members need time off, what should they do? And, exactly what can they do now to prepare their projects in case they need time?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> If your team members are in-person – do the obvious, allow work from home with grace and understanding!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> Let them know you are simply THERE FOR THEM. There are a lot of emotional fears that come with this situation – and one of the greatest gifts you can give your team is the knowledge that they are safe to share them with you and lean on you for support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> Be willing to bear more weight – emotional, financial, and responsibility-wise. This is why I always suggest having 3-6 months worth of your team members’ pay reserved in savings. But more than that, be prepared to put in more work to serve your team and clients should there be downtime in deliverables.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> Stay communicative if your vision! It’s easy for us to get so engrossed in the present, we can’t see hope for the future. Stay in touch with your vision and assure your team that no matter what you’re in this together and your mission and purpose are too great to allow anything to stop you – you will figure out the future together!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> MOST IMPORTANTLY – PRAY for your team. Even in person! Pray over their health, their families, and their peace and faith.
